At 10:00 in the morning Bunk lectured to professor Tremaine MacDowell's classes on American Studies. Some sources say that this interview is recorded during this lecture. More likely is that the interview was taken on-stage during the afternoon concert.

The Purist issue was a 10" blank label limited edition released by the Bunk Johnson Appreciation Society and was the original issue of these sides. It may be identified by the numbers DAV/RBJ_P203/204 which are pressed into the runoff area of the LP.
